Apparently, the Great Railroad Strike of 1877 started here. Martinsburg had its own automobile company, Norwalk Motor Car, however only from 1912 to 1922. Norwalk cars looked like this and featured among other innovations “complete electric lighting systems (not simply a storage battery)”.
